Description
The presentation provides sufficient Introduction to attachment and bonding theory and practice to facilitate discussion of rationale and strategies for recognizing attachment-related problems in children, adolescents and adults. The presentation also describes factors supporting secure attachment and underlying different patterns of insecure attachment as well as the Impact of attachment insecurity on future personal, relationship, and vocational functioning. Treatment difficulties that are associated with problems forming and maintaining an effective therapeutic alliance, managing treatment reversals and promoting greater attachment security are presented and preventive/resolution approaches are described.
