The school psychology committee sponsored a welcome back to school reception for current and potentially new members of SAPA in August. We generated several new SAPA members as the result. Yahoo! The committee is busy planning it's events for the year. -
In December Mike Sulkowski, Ph.D. will address local psychologists and school psychologists about childhood anxiety. Check the website for more information. We are all looking forward to this useful and informative presentation.
The SAPA School Psychology Committee will meet next on Friday the 15th of November at 7:00 a.m. We meet at Beyond Bread on Campbell. We are always delighted to have any SAPA member join us.
In August, committee members busied themselves with writing a nomination for the AASP School Psychologist of the Year award to recognize one of our committee members, Lisa Coyner, Ph.D.. Lisa was the successful nominee for this award which she received at the AASP convention on the 25th of October. We are all so pleased that one of our own was recognized in such a deserving way.
