Please join SAPA in the Community (SITC) for the final event in our series in honoring SAPA’s 45th Anniversary by celebrating creativity as a pathway to healing, recovery, and social change. The last event in our series will take place on Wednesday October 10, 2018 at the Loft Cinema with the S-Word documentary that focuses on stories from suicide attempt survivors, along family members and loved ones of those who have died by suicide. SAPA’s own Dr. Courtney Schuneman will participate in a Q & A session along Eric Osborn (Warm Line Coordinator at Hope Incorporated), Julie Birns (Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner), Dr. Vicki Knight (Chief Psychiatrist at Pima County Adult Detention Center), and Rezwana Mahzabeen Islam (junior at the University of Arizona, youth presenter in NAMI SA’s Ending the Silence Program) following the film. Additionally, Dr. Schuneman will participate in a discussion with representatives of NAMI on the Morning Blend on Monday October 8 on KGUN 9. Please see attached flyer for further details.
